Your Role

"Tomorrow's adults, in their most vulnerable stage of life, are in our hands today.  Today's children need to be protected so that tomorrow's adults will be safe and healthy.....Today's children need nurture so that tomorrow's adults will be strong and sensitive people who like themselves and take care of themselves.  Today's children need encouragement so that tomorrow's adults will be creative thinkers, discoverers and problem solvers.....Today's children need guidance so that tomorrow's adults will be appreciative of this fragile world we live in and so that they care about skill, artistry and beauty.  Today's children need to learn to cooperate and solve problems so that tomorrow's adults will be peace makers at home and in the world: so that they think for themselves; and so that they care for others - those who are like themselves, those who are different, and those who are in need." Every member of our community has a role to play in the life of a child - as every member of our community is impacted by who these children become as adults.  Whether your roles include caregiving, championing, protecting, guiding, planning, financing, challenging, nurturing or providing, there is something for everyone to do.
