About Us

Early Years Community Development includes activities and efforts that develop, implement, sustain and strengthen systems of early childhood development support. These activities and efforts can include everything from local research and data analysis to funding allocation and service delivery planning.

In Powell River and Sunshine Coast there are several community development initiatives working collaboratively to identify and address issues relating to early childhood development, create and implement local early childhood strategies, ensure community members are increasingly aware of early childhood development in their community and guarantee that local voices are heard at regional/provincial/national planning tables.
